Mechanism of Action:
N-Acetylcysteine + Taurine is an antioxidant and mucolytic combination.
N-Acetylcysteine is a precursor to glutathione, the body’s main cellular antioxidant. It works by neutralising harmful substances within the liver and breaking down mucus to make it less sticky and easier to cough up.
Taurine is a type of amino acid that plays an important role in various bodily functions. It maintains the balance of water and mineral salts in your blood, stabilises cell membranes, and helps control calcium levels within cells. It also enhances insulin action and exhibits neuroprotective properties by modulating certain brain receptors.
Side Effects:
Gastrointestinal issues: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing (rare).
Headache or dizziness.
Generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience mild gastrointestinal disturbances or allergic reactions.
