Composition

Pantoprazole Sodium IP 40mg and Domperidone IP 30mg

Uses

1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Used to treat GERD by reducing stomach acid production and alleviating symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation.

2. Peptic Ulcers: Helps in the healing of peptic ulcers and prevents their recurrence by inhibiting acid secretion.

3. Nausea and Vomiting: Domperidone works as an antiemetic to relieve nausea and vomiting associated with gastrointestinal disorders.

Dosage

• Typically taken once daily, 15–30 minutes before a meal.

• Dosage and duration depend on the condition and doctor’s recommendation.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet

Mechanism of action

• Pantoprazole: A proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks the acid-producing enzyme in the stomach, reducing acid secretion and protecting the stomach lining.

• Domperidone: A dopamine antagonist that increases stomach motility and accelerates gastric emptying, relieving nausea and vomiting
