Uses

1. Gout Treatment: Primarily used to lower uric acid levels in patients with gout and to prevent gout attacks.

Dosage

• Typical Adult Dose: The usual starting dose is 40 mg once daily. If uric acid levels remain high after 2-4 weeks, the dose may be increased to 80 mg once daily.

• Administration: Tablets can be taken with or without food, but they should be taken consistently in the same manner each day.

Mechanism of Action
